This basic command utilized during all class sessions. Heel teaches your dog to walk by your left side - without pulling - positioned correctly with the head of the dog approximately even with the left leg. Exercises during all class sessions teach the dog to heel correctly regardless of how fast you are walking - i.e slow vs fast. For some dogs, particularly the stronger, larger puppies, who do not heel properly with the buckle collar, a Gentle Leader Head Collar may be recommended. Choke chains are not used.
